Sports Seats Restoration - Colour Code needed.

I've tried doing 'scuffs' on a mk2 jag with quite poor results. its not easy to get a consistent finish and i decided to redo the whole seat. I wouldn't try patch repairing again. Its so easy to do its not worth the hassle of messing with masking and ending up with results you're not happy with.

The MX5 seats took a warm afternoon each with lots of waiting time so I would think you could do both in the same time. I did these a couple of years ago and they still look just as good.

Btw, anybody know what should go here if anything. With the 3 holes, looks like it's missing something, just can't think what.

Thanks for this. Will give the salvage place a call tomorrow and see if they can give me the last 7 digits so I can see what leather they are.

Just out of interest did they come out of a facelift? I'm looking for a facelift owners handbook set for mine (I only have the service book) - if so maybe you would PM me some details so I can contact the salvage dealer about the handbook.

the kit in my link - enough to do 4 seats easily even includes the airbrush. Think they will do a slight discount if you don't need the air cylinder

I just dug out my sales brochure for my E86 and it shows a code of LASW against black leather. Whether the donor car was pre or post facelift I doubt the black would have changed!

Never mind, thanks to someone else on here sending me a link I did manage to download an electronic copy - I just would like to fill up the wallet for the booklets a bit more!!

Hope you manage to source the right cleaning kit. I really need to do the same for my 325ti.

It'd be worth you setting up a few searches on eBay I.e. Z4 breaking and z4 handbook etc. You might get one eventually.

Yes, I guess setting up alerts would be best, but what I found on E-bay when I first searched smacked of opportunism! (Or do I mean greed)? :lol:
