Sport mode

To keep your sport button on all the time ...... just means much more grin factor ..... like some else said ( the giggle button) :D I drive mine exactly the same way as you do , and love every minute 👍

i cant believe how many people dont use the sport button, i have to admit when i first got it the throttle is very responsive but after a little while i got used to it, love the pops & bangs mine makes without sport mode, then when its on it sound awesome! mine has been mapped too in sport mode

Kieran how do you find the remap? I'm considering it at the moment. I just feel that I need a little bit more from the Coupe. Interested to hear your findings.

You don’t need it buddy.

The best modifications for the Z4 Coupe is a Supersprint exhaust and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.

They transform the car.

Well it was mapped when I got it so can’t say the difference from standard BUT when I put it in sport mode the car pops & bangs loads, exhaust is louder & the throttle is so much more responsive & pulls like a train!

Does anyone know if there's a way of coding out the change in throttle response when the sport button is pressed? It would be great if it just altered the steering weight without making the throttle twitchy - my ideal combination would be sport steering with normal throttle.

i would imagine you can if you took it for mapping as they can adjust the throttle response. Mine has been mapped in sport mode & the throttle response is perfect imo & not too sensitive, it took some getting used to but after a few drives i was fine. I would ask a tuning company as they will tell you but i am pretty sure they can as i had it done on my Integra DC5. Hope that helps :D

Seems I'm in a minority. My start up routine is... engine on, sport button on, drive!

(agree about keeping it on at switch off/on... or at least having the option)

I don't find my fuel consumption any worse, I prefer the throttle response, the steering feels better and I personally find the exhaust note is sweeter. All or some of that may just be in my head though!

But then mine isn't my daily and so I only use for evening and weekend fun where I'm not sat in traffic.

+2

I have the 3.0 auto and it a big difference for me. More responsive and urgent but great to have a choice. I have driven other cars with sports mode and hardly noticed a thing.
