Sport Button

I love my sport button. Rarely drive with sport off. Throttle and steering much better for hooning :)

Carol - get it in Sport + ;)

Er best to let off the sport +... without traction control you'll break something... well, harder in a 20i than a 35i but still possible!

Is that like pressing and holding the DSC button until it's all off then pressing sport in the e85/86 then ? I wondered why that chap only used sport in the 0-262kmph vid. Sport+ sounds so cheery and fun :D

Sport + removes some of the stability control but not all, it will let you get a bit silly. The full blown right-off-your-40K-car mode is sport + and DSC off.

I've tried it... on a quiet road... turned the car 180 in a cloud of smoke.. not on purpose. Laughed, then turned it all back on... not done it since!

i dont know about those n20 engine.... but with mine . 23i(only) .. i thought sport mode it will tense up the suspension, but gear stick "left" doesnt ...

Yes it can be Carol,

You actually feel the car change as you are doing it. It sort of shimmers a little bit.

LOVE IT

i retract my statement about the accelerator having to be removed for it to take effect, obv just an ///m thing
although e92's power button is the same as the e89's, my dad had an e92 m3 and like you say, you press it and it sorta blips a bit and wiggles around lol :driving:

No your right, it doesn't remap the engine if you press it when driving until you take the foot off the throttle. :)

If I'm driving at a steady pace and keep my foot steady on the throttle, then press the sport button, you can definately feel the car reponse change, it pulls a bit as if its got faster.

I know the suspension doesn't change unless you have adaptive, but what does it do to the steering...is it meant to alter that in any way?

It should make the steering feel a little "heavier". It isn't as noticable as the sport button effect on my Mrs MINI S mind.

Yikes! :o

I've had Sport on and DTC (some driver aids off) on in the wet. I found that the E85 was too restrictive. Didn't want all driver aids off though, tempting fate. Sounds like the E89 is a wilder animal

Just as I thought - cheery and fun

I constantly forget the difference the sport button makes in my M54 Z4. The throttle feel is so different, so much sharper.

Would definitely like to be able to toggle throttle and steering separately though, sometimes I wouldn't mind the snappy throttle with light steering.
