I've not done anything more scientific than test driving both. The M "feels" quicker, but the power delivery from a 3.5iS on full chat is immense.

Would you say a 35is feels like firing an sa-80 automatic rifle, and an m is like a pump action shot gun??
That sort of comparison? I'd love to give a 35is a go. Wouldn't buy one but want a go. They really really needed to bring an m version out :x
3.5iS 0-62 is 4.8 seconds, so slightly quicker than an M in a straight line. I wonder how they'd both fare on the top gear track :?
Mine does well on the track and surprises a lot of faster cars with it's handling kicking ass on the corners.
