The strip of rubber gasket/seal/trim/whatever-it-is at the top of the windshield has deteriorated for some reason, and is split in a couple of places.
See photo below (sorry for poor quality, but I think you can see what I mean). My windshield is fairly pitted with lots of tiny pocks, as well as a couple of small chips anyway, so I'm considering having the glass replaced anyway. But what about this rubber piece? Is this gasket/seal piece generally replaced along with the windshield glass? Can it be replaced alone, if I decide not to do the glass now?
