spirited driving

Ive had the m coupe for just a month now and have been getting use to the car and its behaviour under hard driving. I love the way the car handles and under hard driving when you feel the rear end slightly fighting for grip when pushing. It always makes me smile when i change from 1st to 2nd second gear at full throttle and i see traction light flickering in the corner of my eye is just me being being childish or does anyone else do this.

After 5 years I still have this same feeling... Great cars and one of the most underrated for a long while... That engine in such a neat small body... A minter is a keeper IMO.

So many small changes can make this car supercar performance.

My fave little quirk is the stabs of fire on full bore up changes.....

Just like sex the more you give it the more you want!! Dont you just love um.

Good to see im not alone, i have one issue which is because i drive a van for 6days a week im used to being heavy footed with the pedals and can be annoying when im adjusting to the m coupe especially when i leave the m button on and take off from the light making the car jolt forward like a madman.

As I'm approaching traffic lights, I often find myself wishing for them to change so I can be at the front and then floor it! Makes me smile every time. It's an epic missile of a car.

I used to have a few good opportunities for that on my old commute, so much fun leaving the traffic behind in just a couple of seconds.

Now my commute doesn't have any decent traffic lights, but it does have a nice series of slip roads with nice corners, so I get to test the lateral g's instead :D

Pretty sure I don't get these -- do you have an aftermarket exhaust? When I had a Cerbera it was pop-pop-bang-bang every gear change.

He's got a supercharger and antisocial exhausts. I've got just the antisocial exhausts and pops, bangs and burbles are aplenty! Especially after a spirited drive!

When I had an M5, I would often slow down (to normal traffic speeds) when approaching green lights, knowing that they would change if I drove normally. All this just to experience the joy of rushing forward in a loud, powerful car! I miss the booming engine sound of the M5, but that little 2.5i Z4 of mine still knows how to sprint like its better endowed brothers.

Hi Carl my car is slightly more tuned than most.... But exhaust wise I have rpi straight pipes, xpipe, the stock cats are already high 200/300 cell items. Drop the stock mufflers and xpipe to reveal your s54s true voice !!!!

My rich-ish running supercharged car plus a free flow exhaust is where the fire comes from.

I tried luanching the car with the sport botton on just dropped the clutch and planted my foot and just spun the wheels how hard is it too launch the car with the sport bottton on. I dont fancy destroying my rear tyres as they so bloody expensive.
