You get a lot of young lads down from Northern Ireland ripping the roads up in the Republic - but there's nothing that can really be done about it. As the Gardai often say to my brother in law (from the North) ... 'sure we may as well give you the piece of paper', then he flings it in the bin.
It's based around the EU Convention on Driving Disqualifications, which I believe also covers points not just disqualifications.

Did you see this thread on BM3W or was it you who posted at the end?
It can be raised by BMW but you need an unlock code (which I doubt BMW UK will provide)
Most companies claim to remove the limiter when you have the car remapped.
On my recent trip to Nurburgring, I got past 155MPH in 5th and the Roadster pulled all the way to 168MPH in 6th. I was at V-Max for merely 10 secs or so because it got scary with the roof down :lol:
Not at the Ring, but the roads on the way there. As far as I'm concerned, once we hit Calaise, I've on delimited autobahns ....... :lol:sixspeed said:Nick,
