Ok I assume I have the 10 speaker system as mine is a z4 si, but and this is where you all shake your heads in despair! I can only locate 8 speaker grills! 2x foot well, 4 x door, 2 x behind driver seat. Are there 2 behind the carpet behind the seat or have I been short changed. And if they are behind the carpet with no grill my question would be Why?.

You only have the six speaker system, 'si' means nothing other than engine designation.

Although there are 8 grills there are no speakers in the door. If you had one of the 10 speaker systems you would not have storage bins behind the seats as these would contain subs.
 
Ahhh that explains it then, that's why I couldn't see the amp either, did think the 10 was standard on the si though but many thanks.
