I'm looking to buy speakers for the doors. Are they the same size and fixing positions as the behind the seat speakers? Seen some on eBay. I've seen the fitting thread on here but i don't want to fit aftermarket, I want to fit the OEM speakers. I presume the're all full range in the front footwell, doors and behind the seats, so I thought they were maybe all the same speakers....?

The mid speakers (4", non existent on the non-hifi option) fit in the doors. Same as behind.
The low speakers 6,5" fit i. The footwell. Same SIZE as the sub behind the seat, but completely different speaker
The tweeters (high speakers) have probably to be glued into the original tweeter place if going aftermarket.

FYI: a focal 165 3 way set replaces perfectly on the original speakers, you only have to make a mount for the mid speaker (where now a plastic blanking pate is)

I can't confirm if they are the same as my car did not have the door speakers....

I can't confirm if they are the same as my car did not have the door speakers....

Just checked the oem catalogue... they don't appear to be the same as door speakers... 4 screw fixings on the door speaker, 3 on the behind seat speakers...

But I think a woofer in the door will be too bassy, I think a full range will give more..well..range! The mids and tops are deffo needed...

ooops! have updated link now. Yeah, they are the ones behind the seats.

Slightly confused now...

The oem catalogue shows a sub woofer with a 4 screw fixing..

However, after looking on fleabay to check the door cards to check the fixings they all appear to have the same 3 screw fixings as the behind the seat speakers.

So I'm guessing yours may fit :|

I have Hertz Hi Energy 3 way components which fitted great. Needed a little work with the tweeters but sound sooooooo much better than stock. I must admit they are driven by an Audison & Hertz setup.
