Speaker In Footwell!

Just returned from Lake Garda via Dolomites to Salzburg (wet and snowy on the top of the passes) then Salzburg to Colmar (fabulous roads and weather - roof down all the way) then Colmar to Calais and on up to Bolton in the wet and windy weather on Friday. Car ran like a dream and never missed a beat. Very comfy on the long motorway stretches and a lot of fun in sport mode on the alpine roads!

Anyway; Point of the discussion is that on cleaning the car after the trip I found a small speaker dangling in the drivers footwell behind the peddles. Its clearly connected as its the speaker wires its dangling from and it appears to go into a space above the peddles behind some plastic trim. Strange thing is I cant see a speaker in the same place in the passenger footwell and the speaker itself doesn't appear to transmit any sound.

Wondering if anyone knows about this? I have the standard speaker system in my car and it appears to be working fine.

Could it be for the PDC? Or does that sound through the normal speakers?

It's probably a warning buzzer speaker, key in ignition etc hence no sound when radio on and why not on passenger side.

I think the PDC goes through the regular speakers and this appears working okay as normal.

Interesting point about the warning buzzer though - never thought of that! I'll check it out. Thanks.
