Replaced spark plugs on my 23i.
Single electrode with a platinum fine wire in the centre.
40k since last fitted and the fine wire has all but gone.
Will try post picture.

Thought might give some idea how long they last.
Wasn't giving any problems, but seems to run very slightly better since change.
Certainly last longer than the days of leaded petrol.

I don’t know wether it’s an optical illusion but they don’t look the same? The ceramic insulator seems to be at a different height :?

They are both the same, one is resting at a slight different angle. I noticed that later when i looked at picture.
Having said that i now notice the lower diameter of the electrode can be seen. Did save one old plug will check to see if it's the same as the right one.

Well it is different. The left is NGK R5 BMW the right a Bosch 0 242 236 510 with shorter ceramic.

Mix of unleaded and super.

Well yeah, of course it runs better with new plugs :poke:
But it might have made no difference thou.
I think when cold and initial pull away it doesn't judder any more.
