Spare Key Required

Hi all,
I only have one key for my 2009 E89, and just been quoted £200 for both parts of the key, plus £50 to do a key delete so any other spares out there won't work. I was expecting about £150 for this.

Anywhere else I can get this done cheaper? I def want a fully functional spare (with the insert cut for the lock) and the key delete doing.

Thanks.

Depending upon where you are forum member Deadpool may be able to help:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=117993

I've also read good things about "bmkeys" in East London.

Or forum member "IAmOrion" in Cambridge can code a key for mates' rates if you can get one cut.

Thanks both, too far away from me. Found a mobile guy who will do the lot for 215. Bit better than stealers but will hunt a bit more.

The master locksmith does a postal service with same day service, if you can do without your key for 2 days for him to clone, if its your daily though then probably out of the question

On an E89 you need the car and the key I believe ...bit difficult by post if that is the case..

Ah, wasn't aware of that, thought pretty much any key could be cloned nowadays

Again..not 100% but I understand that you need the security unit in the car to handshake with the new car as part of the programming...
