I switched from e85 to e89 23i ... Is the Spire Wheel from e 46.(r16/115/90) Diameter 16 will fit e 89. I currently have 17....

If you fit different sized wheels on the rear you will cause the differential to overheat if you drive any distance, on the front it will affect your steering and may well be illegal/invalidate your insurance.
You can probably get a 'temporary spare' (one of those thin spares with a yellow speed warning sticker on it) from somewhere if you look hard enough

My apologies I misunderstood. However other comments still apply, you should not fit different sized wheel on either front or rear of your car...

I have a 16in space saver from an e46 .My z4 e89 23i has 17in wheels with non run flat tyres. You will be ok with 16in space saver to use in the event of a flat tyre.

The definitive answers are:

The wheel must be clearly a space saver wheel placarded as such with time/speed/distance limits..so a ‘normal’ albeit different size wheel is NOT acceptable...

On a normal open differential car such as all stock E89 Z4s there is no restriction on space saver wheels save obeying the time /speed/distance limits imposed by the space saver wheel...ie the differential is not a limit factor..
