spacer on z4mc whit stock wheels

Right, so got the car back this afternoon. I was planning to head straight to the track but alas the girlfriend vetoed the proposal....

I'm going now for a quick squirt now though to reacquaint myself with the car and i'll report back!

Drive the car hard, really hard, full compression turns with alittle lock im pretty sure this will rub where the arch liner meats the front bumper, i could get my ET32 to just glance this hence to move to ET34, with your ET29.5 upfront im pretty certain this will rub, again depending on tyre size.....The rub i has was so minor i could really call it rub BUT i didnt want any contact, i could just see their the tyre had glanced the plastic, this was with 2 people in the car at full cornering speed.....

Well i didn't notice any rub BUT i couldn't exactly corner very hard. I did take an empty slip road pretty hard but the tail let go and the DSC put an end to that so not exactly conclusive. I'll be heading to the track eventually, hopefully this Sunday if i can manage it...

As I said you will get slight rubbing on full lock quoth eibachs, 12mm spacers and oem wheels. I had that set up and I got slight rub

Didn't experience any rub on full lock on mine today. Of course keep in mind that i'd never have full lock in anything other than very, very slow speeds. I.e. no suspension load.

Been on the track last Tuesday and on a quick B-road drive this afternoon and i didn't feel or hear any rub at all. Note that i have extremely loud exhausts so it may have been rubbing but i couldn't listen.. Would it make such a loud noise so it would be heard over the RPI's? If yes then they definitely do not rub.

Tires are 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 which are reported to be wider than equivalent sizes from other brands.

no way would you here the rub over the rpi, not a chance..... look at your inner arch liners where it meats the bumpers and is held by the plastic rivits.....

if it were me id go 8mm front and 5mm rear, the use hub extenders to get the all important rim engagement... these are conservative and will offer all the looks you want.... imo of course.

edit... the rub your going to experience will be minor so wont be audiable, i was only able to replicate it at the track with someone else in the car, even then i didnt hear it and it was so minor i could see where the wheel has brushed the liner, luckily mine was a scuff and ive moved the offset with a smaller spacer to catch this for damage is done.

Had 15mm on F&R with H&R springs. No Rub with regular driving. Swapped out rear PS2's for two new Michelin Super Sports. Rub on upper sidewall when hitting hard bottoming.. New SS's are wider and more square. Sold the 15mm today and bought some 12.5mm. Call me a fool. :headbang:
