Sound generator

I have read about removing 1 or 2 foam pieces from the sound generator, all seem to be from pre 2009 cars. Does anyone know if the foam pieces are in 2010 E89 and are they easy to remove?

I'm not an expert, but don't think E89 is as easy as E85/86 for sound generator mods

I thought the sound generator on the new turbo engines is electronic one!

Think you're right Navid.

Not sure how the noise could be amplified, but suspect its a little more complicated than on the E85/86

It is electronic. No mods available as yet that I know of... Should have got a 35i :evil:

I've scoured through the parts catalog looking for anything that could be part of an electronic sound generator. I wasn't able to find anything.

Either it is integrated into other systems (radio??) or the press reports about the electronic sound generator are incorrect.

I understood the old model the 3.0 had a pipe entering the footwell.

Unsure on the new model, mine is the 3.0 and sounds so good roof down even better.
