Hi,

Just uploaded a video to the tube for anyone considering this mod, well worth it I think!

Just the larger piece of foam out, not sure I'm ready to take it to the next level just yet :driving:

Did this last year and it sounds awesome i took the piece out nearest the engine but not tried it all out yet. :thumbsup:

This was my sound generator comparison. Definitely much improved over standard in my opinion and great addition to the experience :).
 
Best grin factor mod you can make without shelling out £££!

Hmmmm... Had mine out for a while now. Toying with the idea of taking the engine-side one out as well...
 
Well I'm going to be taking the last section out this week some time so I'll get a video up ;-)
 
Just done this one, took the piece nearest the car so didn't have to completely remove the pipe.

Came off easy but :headbang: to get back on!
 
I have always liked how this mod changed the noise in the cabin, but sometimes wanted for a little more. Got bored this afternoon, bollox weather, went out and removed the smaller piece of foam at the engine end too... Interestingly it is made of much denser foam than the cabin one, so I took the cabin end foam with me for a wee test.

Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone therefore no sound or video, sorry... With both bits removed it's pleasingly louder under normal to moderate acceleration, however when floored... at 5,000 RPM it starts to get a little much, at 6,000 it's offensive, and on the red line it actually hurt my ears. Way too much, not for me. I jumped out and put the cabin side back in and it was much better, bit louder than before but never hit the offensive threshold. I might try cutting it down by a third and see if that perfects it :evil:

On a side note, inspired by Adamski's comments on his recent run... it is very very wet today so I played with the DTC a little. I need to do more testing, but I was impressed :thumbsup:

Just took it out for a spin after taking the foam out nearest the cabin yesterday, what a difference! sounds amazing :thumbsup:
