Sound Generator Q

Bit of a random question, but if you took the bit of pipe off (the bendy bit) from the sound generator that goes into the hole in the cabin, would it make any difference to the engine at all? Sounds stupid but I presume it doesn't pull any air into the actual intake?

When I had my roadster I had the big bit of foam, the one nearer the bulkhead, fully removed. No complaints about noise

I had all my foam out for the past year but when I first did it I hadn't pushed the tube back on properly so yeah. My head nearly imploded!

I put the big bit of foam back in yesterday because now I have the debackbox it really isn't needed and actually hurts with both

Haha, yeah that's kinda what I ment just dispatch of the tube completely and have the induction noise from the engine bay rather than piped into the cabin. Sounds like its stupid loud though so confirms my thoughts, cheers Gav!
