so had a few hours free this afternoon so got the z4 out the garage, and having done the sound generator mod i had to take it on a little drive, and ohh my what a difference it makes to the driving experience, well worth the 5 minutes it take to do this mod, i have taken both bits of foam out as the car only gets used a little so the sound is perfect for me, any way as i got back i gave it another little clean, and took a few pics of the car before it was put back in the garage:

Thanks for looking mitch

Very nice! Always loved those wheels, suit the Z4 perfectly and got to be one of my all-time favourite BMW alloys

That is one clean Z

Did you paint the underside? (the undercoating)

I saw one spot you forgot to polish, where you did the air pump delete mod:

I'd also spend a fiver each on some new jacking point covers, along with one of those blocks that slots into the rectangular hole.

Got a pattern part one from ebay for mine and it fits perfectly.

Thanks for the comments guys,

haha you got me out on that one, i have planed to get alot of the screw, bolts and nuts etc to get zinc plated and was going to get parts like you have pointed out done when they go in to get done.
and as regarding the paint, the paint I used was Epoxy Mastic 121 Its a 2 part mixture of 2 pac paint and an epoxy hardener. I rollered the majority of the floor and then the floor
underside was treated to two coats of etch primer, and finished in my own colour i made up what is a very very light gray almost looks white but if you put a white i phone up to it you can see it has a hint of grey in it, but all in all this should give a good water tight seal all round the car.

I also saw that you painted your block.
I could tell by the plug that covers the crankpositioninghole; that plug is normally blue:

How did you paint the block? Removing a lot of stuff or painting inbetween the parts? Spray or brush?

What a mint looking Zed. Probably the cleanest on the forum

He's my son, and yes it is in really mint condition a true credit to his determination to get it looking that way, but then he only did less than 100 miles last year, I'm making sure he takes it out this summer with mine for a few hoons
