it does sound fantastic.... the CSL type noise is right up their imo as one of the very best... EVER equally i LOVE the sound of the vortech s/c on the s54..... its like darth vadar taking a huge drag of one Fat cigar then clearing his throat.... inside the car it sounds like stock type induction roar, very gutteral which is strange... outside videos show a different side however.... this a great example of how it sounds from outside. vortech s/c unit on s54 m3 video below.

Pah! That looks like something that came out of my nose! :poke:
I absolutely love the fact that PY is a "marmite" thing. Love it or hate it, you just can't ignore it! :D
Now if I'd wanted boring I'd have chosen.... any other colour. :poke:

To be honest i have grown a bit bored with mine. If i'd buy an MC now i'd get an Interlagos Blue one. Would look great in the sun here.

Looks like it has the individual interior too - I like it

The colour of your car was my second choice, but since my Z3MC is Titanium Silver, I wanted something different and a complete contrast.

We don't get the sun here.

Very nice.. Looking at getting my M3 done next year but it's £3000 all in (csl airbox and 20bhp tune) from evolve

that sounds cheap. Does it include the exhaust bits cam bits too?

If it's a proper CSL intake then there'll be a need for Alpha-N mapping as well, as I believe there's no MAF on a CSL.

correct.... the alpha n tune is a ballache to get right on our ecus, once it good tho the car runs insanely smooth with razor sharp throttle repsonse.... if its out even slightly the car kangeroo's and bucks all over the rev range....not good at all.

He was asking about the slightly more aggressive camshafts i believe. I wouldn't think they're included, that's a 1200 quid part alone if i remember correctly.

UPDATE
I thought to birge the gap between the CSL S54 engine and ours would take more like £10k.

Could we do a precise list of the differences?

This is what I have so far in terms of the engine.
1. CF Intake £3k:
Full Airbox Kit w/ Cold Air Snorkle Adapter $4,250.00
$3,317.02 VAC Mptorsport, Delage racing (FR) etc.
2. Alpha N ECU tuning £2k
3. Schrick 288 Degree Intake Camshaft
Part #: 415.E1.880-00C. €685.75
4.24x E46 M3 Rocker Arm
Part #: 11337833259 (11-33-7-833-259). €554.88
5. Schrick 280 Degree Exhaust Camshaft
Part #: 415.A1.800-00C. €685.75
6. Modified exhaust valves ??? no details
7.Modified exhaust manifold
8. 200 cell cat
9. Labour costs?

Other bits
ARP S54 Head Stud Kit
Part #: 201-4303. €190.21
ARP Connecting Rod Bolt Kit
Part #: 201-6103. €162.44

Suspension
Uniball!?
Powerflex bushes etc.

transmition:
Stronger mounts
UUC short shift Kit
Weighted gearknob
Different transmition fluid

Its a reoccuring subject on this forum and it would be nice to nail it down.

Our exhaust manifolds are the same as the CSL. Cams should be around 1300, Schrick makes them. I'm not familiar with any other parts you'd need for a proper CSL engine but if i remember correctly the CSL had a different/lighter exhaust and less restricting catalytic converters.

Come on fellas, anything else and costs?
