Have to get new rubber for the Z very soon :( have been to 4 different places for prices on RF and
have asked about fitting non RF and all have said NO! to this on the 108 rims :? is this true?
I can understand 1 or 2 saying no but all 4..

This will turn into a thread of 108 owners with non RFT's :)

I had non -rft on my previous 107s as well, fitted by the dealer.

As I mentioned, my dealer fitted them for me and I have the invoice to prove it ... (they also supplied 3 tyres).

* Edited for shoddy spelling

rubbish.

Srhutch is on non-rft on his 108's for starters.

I spoke to two local tyre companies, one used to do the main dealers tyres before they took them in house and the other was from black circles. Both had no issues about doing so but both mentioned about signing a disclaimer although this wasnt required in the end.

Someone on here must have had non RFT's fitted near you, hopefully they will post soon.

Hi 2 dogs. I too am on the non RFT's. Fitted by my local garage NE of Birmingam

Just for the record all that is spouted about not fitting standard tyres on RFT rims is rubbish. I posted a thread sometime back and the only difference is that the rim has an extra lip inwards of the normal seating position. This is purely to stop a deflated RFT wandering around the rim and falling off. It has no effect whatsoever on fitting a normal tyre.

I've had them on my 108's for a few months now and managed 350 miles around Wales 10 days ago and we def got above 50mph on the mountain roads :)
