Soooo, i got my first scratches

I wanted to go for a drive today and found my care with a huge scratch on the front bumper. Someone hit my parked car and drove away :(
I have some paint damage on the gold trim, and the bumper has to be rewrapped. Luckily the rims dont have any scratches on them.
And hopefully the wrap protected the paint below.

Im not looking forward to the amount of work and money its going to take to get this fixed :(

So it’s not just the uk with inconsiderate arseholes driving...good luck with sorting out they left you to do

Thanks, arseholes can be found anywhere sadly enough.

So far i have on the list:
Contactin insurance company
Filing complaint at the police station for the hit and run so i get the coverage by the insurance
Contacting the body shop
Contacting the wrapper
Most likely putting the engine tune back to the stock tune in case they want to attach it to the computer at the bmw body shop
getting stuff fixed
and then putting the tune back

Not really looking forward to it

Looks like 90% of it will buff out.
Yeah i managed to remove most of it from far away you dont really notice unless you know where to look, but it still hurts a lot :)

after detailing it, you still see a clear line on the wrap, and some of the paint is missing on the trim

:( Had similar a few times. Hopefully not too pricey to sort out. The sooner it's sorted sooner you can get on with enjoying your Zed. :driving:

I think a sheet of 2000 wet n dry on a block will flat that out followed by a machine polish but you must be careful not to go through the lacquer

Has it ? Then maybe a light machine polish

its a wrap, polished it a little by hand, but that didnt get it out, iwll check with the wrapping company maybe they can get it out more.

Sorry to hear this raven. Always a shame when your pride and joy is damaged. Especially when they leave and don’t leave a note.
Hopefully it can be sorted without too much hassle. Just a shame it happened in the first place.

+1

Thanks guys.

On the happier side, just got my car back from the tuner 430hp and 666NM torque instead of 340 and 500 :)
And the new exhaust sound is amazing <3
Can't wait to try it out in Germany on the autobahn and in the Belgian Ardennes :driving:

Finally almost done with the repairs.

Took 4 front bumper Resprays, 3times going back for the corner pieces and grill not being mounted properly, 1 check engine light, a full unwrap , a new front bumper and a respray on the back bumper and about 6 months time, and a shitload of money in lost workhours to get it fixed, but its finaly done!

The insurance payment is still not entirelys sorted but im sure well get there eventually :)

Some good news too, the new wrap design is ready and has been locked in... and its something else :D
I like it on paper, i hope the end result will be as good or even better, if all goes well new wrap beginning 2021.

I think it will be something again that people either really like or really dislike, but it was more or less like that with the colorflow also :)

*insert drumroll sound*

The final version will be slightly different since in the flat design its difficult to take the shape of the car into account so the end result will be a surprise until delivery day :)

The idea is to have both halfs in a satin white pearl and satin black with then gloss black lines over the top and the yellow lines will be a bright orange-gold color
