I have to say I had virtually forgotten you could adjust the shelf as I've never done it or felt the need to do it due to space constraints. Even with a boot full of stuff for a week away etc. It doesn't really seem to give you much extra space, you folks that do adjust it, do you feel it really makes much difference?

You should see how packed our boot is when we go away to the cabin in the woods for a week, have to admit its the only time I raise it but that extra slither of space is handy.

I did two weeks touring France Italy and Switzerland in June , and we camped ! And we didn't need that extra space or want it , because the roof was down every day without exception and the only time it was up was at night when sleeping and on the ferry . However I did have to supply the correct size bag for Mrs DCM otherwise no doubt she'd have filled the space with extra clothes and handbags shoes etc that she didn't need !

I'm impressed. We're obviously taking too much stuff (although it is in November so winter coats, boots, etc. soon fill the boot). I've bought a 'boot bag' that sits on the boot this year so that should help.
