Someone's nicked my valve caps. Replacement Suggestions pls.

Heading says it all really, I have just noticed my front 2 valve caps are missing, they can't have been gone long as the valve threads are to clean given our current weather here in UK, anyway had a quick look on Fleabay and was staggered by the choice on offer but the very low price in some cases put me off, so just wondered if anyone had any recommendations, I would prefer chrome ones as they were what was taken and would match the valve stem covers theat came with my wheels.
 
I had mine nicked too. I replaced them with chrome hex shape ones that you tighten up with a small spanner. just tight enough to be unable to turn with your fingers. worked a treat, still in place
 
If you use the ones with the locking mechanism, be very careful as you will not be able to get them off unless you check the tyre pressure every other week or so ...

Have them on my mk1 MR2 and its funny watching people try to remove them.
 
I'll be in Phoenix next weekend and coincidentally I'll be picking up a set of mudflaps at Chapman BMW. If they aren't too costly I'll pick up a set. I'm getting a stubby aerial from one of the forum members in the UK, perhaps a trade of UK pounds to him for the set of caps. ? If not I'll keep em.. :D
Either way I'll see how much they are.
 
Id be instrested in some of them caps Mcbee, they look well ace... well till some idiot nicked them for his nova lol

I looked them up on the net and they are $16 a set, Z4 and M logo are the same price. I'll check what they are at my dealers in Canada, probably 50% more. :(

people always say this but i never have a problem with mine and i dont check my tyre pressure that often. how do they become stuck exactly?
 
Different metals fuse together, some members have had the whole valve stem cut off.

if they are made of alloy and dont have a sealing ring they can corrode slightly and you have to cut the valves off and replave them to punp up the tyres!! been there done that! the z4 logo ones cost me £12 delivered from usa

No problem, I'll be back from the US week after next.

edit: they are $18 CDN + GST (5%) from my dealer and are on order, I'll get them next week before I go to the States and deal with it the week after.
