Someone's half inched my stubby!!

The rear windscreen is the aerial in the 6 series and the Z screen would be too small I guess.

I don't think thats the problem. The problem comes when the roof is folded into the boot = No aerial :(

6 series convertibles never had an aerial, why does the Z bloody have one???

just noticed my 3 series vert doesn't have an aerial, probably explains why i get crap fm reception when on roads with tall buildings on either side :(

Same for the 6 series though?

I didn't know the 6 series was a folding roof job, so bang goes that theory.
I spoke to a bmw techie this morning and he says that the 6 series has a plastic boot lid. Hence it will work while stowed.

Either way radio signals dont bounce off which allows the use of in screen aerial system.

My ref to the plastic boot lid was that aerial in the screen will still see the radio signal thro a non metallic lid ie when the roof is stowed.

And Audi's... never had a problem with reception on the TT. Occasionally I see an old Jag with an extendible aerial and I think it looks so old fashioned... getting that way with any form of external aerial to be honest.
