Yeah sorry when a 'sports car' is £220k I lose interest. Who tf is going to buy that and drive it properly, track it etc? No one. The only person who's going to buy that is a speculator, and not at that price (as it probably represents top of the market when it's just about to turn!).
Sorry, maybe I'm feeling particularly jaded this morning, but I'm starting to get really bored by the ridiculousness of it all these days. Cars are for driving. Cars should be affordable to buy (and no I don't mean finance up to your eyeballs, I mean buy yourself, maybe at a stretch with a small bank loan). They should not be so expensive that few can truly own them, they depreciate like a fucking stone once actually used, and all it encourages is speculators on the rarified models.
I'd love a Cayman GT4 (manual), I'm not interested in the Boxster GT4RS because open-top motoring to me should be a more sedate affair (I'd like a classic for that) so an RS soft-top sort of muddles the point for me, and I don't think cutting the roof off many cars improves the looks. Personal opinion I realise but irrespective, I absolutely cannot get excited about a fucking boxster that costs more than a house in most parts of the country. THAT is ridiculous.
