Some attempt ... long live my CCTV

Following on from SK93's thread, I had some, uh, issues over the weekend.

Got the following from my CCTV (using the non enhanced version here as the result of this is still ongoing).

I was burgled in 2004, and after that I went security mad.

This chap below was caught 2 days after my CCTV picked up his entire attempt do break in, until he discovered one of the (many) cameras around the place and ran off (after moving the camera away - very clever :) ).

So, this friday just gone we had these two chaps trying to kick the gates in, but we were at home and nothing came of it.

Good news is though, that I have traced the chaps down now (sounds more clever then it actually was), and I will meet one of them tomorrow

So, if we never hear from you again, where should we send the flowers?

At least you are not as commercial as Srhutch who would just want to know where the keys for my M are ... :D

he looks a bit worried in the last one

A good night vision camera is worth its weight in gold I reackon....that and a dog with a deep bark, and a crowbars pretty handy too!

My flat is pretty secure, especially when I'm home , but I can't help feeling the sound of quad exhausts reverberating around the inside of my garage attracts a little too much attention from the local yoof. I'm thinking very hard about motion-activated CCTV...and maybe a shotgun!

Yes, at least you just ring the bell :D

Sadly that's happening around here. Seems my village is packed with expensive sports cars and it's been targetted recently. Ring the door and demand keys.
Unbeknown to me old bill has been running covert operations and made some arrests. They leafleted us last week to tell the residents all about it.

Seems they've also talked to a few local sports car drivers about the use of our lanes for 'spirited driving purposes' I can olny assume they see performance cars legging it and assumed they were nicked

We got broken into just after moving into new hoose. Now have CCTV, two big dogs, full monitored alarm that also phone my mobiles.
Found out who did the house a couple of months later, they had done 6 others, all fairly remote like ours but all in the same area.
They admitted loads but not mine on the record although off the record they did(don't know how that works)
The insurance were actually superb and sorted out the new 42" tv and cameras and laptops etc right away no hassle. Wife lost some of her mothers jewellery etc (she had just died earlier that month) so a bit of a blow.

Oh and one of the brothers that did it still walks with a limp.

Ps I was out of the country when he took a tumble in a dark lane :D

I have just put an SAE in the post if you could oblige :D

that's a pretty good quality image there PVR.. what cameras do you use if you dont mind me asking?

Thinking that a couple of nice night-vision cameras may act as a good deterrent.

We have a ip web camera at our gym and i can now monitor it on both my iPhone, and iPad as well as normal internet explorer on a pc.

Its become so handy im having 3 more fitted around the gym area and entrance not only to help the staff but for us to keep an eye on the place when we arent there.

BTW you should send the bloke this photo its a good one of him!

The police had a printed copy in hi-res in the file, it was actually excellent, but then the cameras are hi-def ones.

He is Spanish, so hopefully once he got out of prison, would have been deported ...

These are the camera types (I have a variety of different types though depending on the location):
