Regrettably it is time to part with my pride and joy. The car has been fantastic but I now need something with more seats and ability to carry a roof bike rack. I love this engine so much; I am very likely to replace it with a 330i coupe / saloon. The 3 litre just offers the perfect balance of performance and economy.

Please find further detail about the car below, hopefully I have covered everything but do not hesitate to drop me a PM with any questions. The car is regular cleaned using the two bucket method and has just been given a coat of Poorboys Black Hole and Natty Paste Wax. The leather has also been treated to Gliptone cleaner and conditioner restoring its look. The car benefits from M Sport seats, multi function steering wheel and cruise control, all excellent additions. I also have a folder of history with all previous MOT's and plenty of receipts.

The car is over 10 years old so it does have some stone chips as to be expected. These are mainly on the lower area of the front bumper.

Forgot to add a couple of bits: I have a set of winter wheels and tyres that could be negotiated into the sale. The car is also fitted with a Dension Gateway 300 allowing an ipod to be connected to the stereo with track name info and ability to search through the ipod menu using the radio buttons.

hi mate, have you had the roof motor replaced at all? or has the previous owner? how long have you owned the car? which specialist have you been using?

I haven't had the roof motor replaced and there isn't any paperwork to support it being done in the past, however it works absolutely fine so no reason to replace it. I regularly clean out the drain holes though (have had a couple of MX5s in the past so used to doing this!). i have owned the car since November 2013. I tend to change cars every couple of years and am planning for a family plus getting into more cycling so want something with 4 seats and ability to have a roof rack. I have used a specialist called Absolute BM who is a guy called Ross who works at BMW Park Lane but does private work in his spare time and is a complete perfectionist, he is on this forum as bowser123. Hopefully that answers your questions, just let me know if you have any more.

You are going to struggle to fund a car that's had the roof done recently with a warranty. We've seen roofs fail within 2 years. A lot will come down to where the car is kept etc. You just need to make sure you keep the roof drains clear.

You could check this easily on any car you are looking at by gently pouring some water on the roof behind each door. It should come out just in front of the rear wheels or maybe front wheels if on an incline.

where exactly behind each door mate? don't wanna start pouring water on ppls car without knowing exactly what im doing lol.

If you slowly pour water just to the left or right of the rear screen it will drain from each respective side of the car (if the drains are not blocked)
Pour to fast & it will just cascade over the bodywork, bypassing the interior drain system.

Someone will get a good car here.. It's a very clean example and well looked after.

Good luck with the sale Dave :)
