** NOW SOLD **

The time has come to sell my beautiful Z4M coupe, it is just not getting enough use and I can’t justify keeping it any longer.
It is a ‘forum car’. I have been on the forum since I bought it and the previous owner was on here for the 5 years he owned it. Neither of us posted much though!

Finished in one of the rare colours, Midnight, a very dark blue/not quite black, with champagne leather interior. No dings, dents, scratches or rust. Someone may correct me on the exact numbers but as far as I know only 14 cars were built in this colour (none in rhd so maybe only 14 in the world!) and only 8 with champagne leather. Carbon leather dash.
Just short of 71000 miles
The paint work is in excellent condition, it has the expected stone chips at the front, but is all original paint. The interior, including seat bolsters, are in superb condition, very clean, practically no wear, I have seen cars with half the mileage with seats in much worse condition!
Sat-nav, Bluetooth, heated and memory seats, multi CD sound system (extra speaker behind seat, is this standard?), PDC, cup holders.
Good Conti Sport Contact tyres front and rear. The wheels are in need of a refirb, not scuffed but some chips and missing paint which has been protected with silver paint to prevent corrosion. I had intended to get them done but couldn’t decide whether to go ‘shadow’ or leave original. New owner can decide now. They look fine from a distance but obvious every time you get close to wash them!

Service history:
Running-In check 1275 miles 6/1/07 Woods BMW
Oil Service 9453 miles 28/9/07 Barons BMW
Inspection I 21140 miles 27/4/09 Barons BMW
Oil Service 30786 miles 25/1/11 Cooper BMW
Inspection II 42206 miles 13/4/12 BNTEC BMW Specialist
Oil Service 53416 miles 5/8/13 BNTEC BMW Specialist
Inspection I 64830 miles 4/3/15 BNTEC BMW Specialist
7350 to next Oil Service

Lots of receipts for replacement pads, springs, services etc.
To the best of my knowledge the car has never been tracked. Certainly not be me or the previous owner and that accounts for 6 years of its 10.
Full set of handbooks, two remote keys and wallet key.
Very recent new bosch battery.
4 previous keepers.
Only run on premium high octane petrol, usually V Power, occasionally others when not near enough to a Shell. Previous owner claimed 100%V power.
Stubby Arial, original whippy included.

£17500.

This is priced very realistically to sell, I am not putting it up at £21k to either be flamed on here for being unrealistic or to go through a protracted haggling process to end up at £17.5k! It is up for £17.5k and that is what I will accept. It will go on Pistonheads etc. for more.
Drop me a PM and come and have a look. I am based near Batley, West Yorkshire, about 5 mins from M62 J27.

The good cars don’t tend to hang round for long and I think this is one of the good ones.

Nice looking car! I've got a couple questions to ask regarding the car reg no, condition of tyres/brakes and the service history but I'm relatively new to the forum so I can't send PMs. Would you be able to PM me with the details or reply within the thread? Thanks in advance.

Zomby, I have PMd you but will reply on here as well in case you cant get it.

Reg no is RF56 HWW I'm not sure that I needed to hide it, some people say you should.
I'm no mechanic but the condition of brakes looks good, front and rear pads have plenty of meat on them. The fronts discs have more wear then the rear as you would expect, but not excessive in any way, there is a slight lip at the edge of the disc if that helps at all. At the last service the pads were measured at 7 all round with 3 'being safe limit'. That was less than 6000 miles ago.
Tyres are Contisports all round, the fonts with min 5mm and the rears min 5.5mm.
The service history I have already listed, it had the running-in service at the right time, Insp I and II done, next service is an oil service not due for 7350 miles, but you might want to do an interim oil change before then.
MOT is due towards the end of next month.

Sent private message earlier today but not sure if received due to a previous problem when sending a PM. Please confirm receipt, thanks.

Looks a nice car and a good price. Really love this colour combination as I've said before.
Service history looks spot on too. The next oil service should be March 2017 to keep up the time based servicing if mileage isn't met.
It's a cheap service so shouldn't have any impact on the asking price IMO.
GLWTS

Thanks Lostboy_84, you are right, I wouldn't wait 7350 miles for the next oil change, especially if you only do 1000 miles a year like me! I have just made a small correction to the service dates, the second oil change was actually in Jan 11 not Nov 11, that spaces out the services better as the Inps II was in Apr 12

malcolmth, got your PM, just in the process of replying!

I thought I would put some photos of the seats on. I have said they are in superb condition, and considering they have done 70000 miles I think they are.

1 persons superb is not the same as another's though.

The photos show some minor scuffs and wear, this looks much worse on the photos than in real life, the marks are there though, so decide for yourself or come for a look.

I had champagne sport seats in a Z & they are very unforgiving but id say those are in more than fair condition for 70k & with a little time & a few ££ could be greatly enhanced . ( they look to me like they need a clean which costs nothing & takes a hour )
Hard to comment on sale threads without upsetting some members but as its not yet banned id say across the board this looks a very decent example at a very decent price & the rare colour combination does look stunning
There's been a few guys looking for a well kept ZMC who aren't prepared to pay the ask prices  i would hope they have already contacted you unless its the usual case of " perfect car BUT " :zzzz: :zzzz:
Best of luck to buyer & seller

If you going to use anything to clean them it has to be Swissvax leather cleaner and leather milk as the feed.

Amazing on cream/light leather!

Biggest give away of dirt is the 'shiny' look. Its caused by oil and general dirt penetrating the top of the leather. I have various 50/50 shots of Swissvax products on cream leather, difference is crazy!

PM sent by the way.

Hi, brilliant looking car. New to the forum so can not PM you. Would you mind messaging me, I would be interested in viewing, thanks

Nice car  mine looks very similar with 67k on. Carbon black, champagne leather. The colour looks VERY similar imo I payed £18,200 with 65,200 on and think yours is definitly priced to sell

OK, the car has now sold to the first viewer, paid for and driven away!

This will raise the question of was it priced too low?

I am certainly happy with what I got, and the buyer is happy with what he got so you have to say the price was perfect. I have had a years free motoring, insurance, tax, probably even fuel!

The buyer is registered on here and will no doubt make himself known.

Good luck to those who are still looking.

I guess you could have listed it at £19995 then dropped it over a period of time until it sold for whatever ££ that might be ? ,
Could it have sold for more ?
That will be left to speculation but id say happy days for both parties

Very pleased with the purchase. Used to be part of the z3m club, which I regretted selling some time ago. Now part of the z4m club :)
