I may take up selling drugs for a few months so I don't have to sell my baby

Personally I would sell one of my kids, rather than my Zed... But then I do have plenty of the little terrors to choose from!!!

I have no dependants of any kind unfortunately, otherwise hiring them out would be on the cards!
Fiercely independent me!

I have to agree with the above im afraid, I px'd my similar spec car with under 50K on the clock for £10,500 in October.

If you PX'd it for £10,500 then you'd probably have got £11,500-£12,000 as a private sale. Traders normally give around £1500-2000 less than they plan on selling a car on for. (From my vast motor trade experience).

You should know with your vast motor trade experience a trade in value is based on the figures for the car its going against :?
Bluestreak got £10500 against a £35k/£40k car but try it against a £16k / £17k car & my guess would be sub £10k trade price
If you really want a current (realistic) market value stick your details in WBAC then add 15-20% & you won't be too far off what you could likely achieve

+1

nfbr - I know where you are coming from from a private sale perspective, in the old days I would add £1k to the px price and advertise privately for that. However in todays day and age it seems to be more like add £1k to WBACs value.. Other factors come into play like how long you have to sell and how much demand there is for your car at that time. Its peak summer now so you may get a few more punters but I think the CAP values these days are pretty good on these cars..

We'll see how it goes.
Don't really want to sell the car anyway - So if it's not going for the right money, It's not going anywhere :)

Its a lovely car, ruby black is a fantastic colour and it has the right gearbox and roof so lots going for it

Those are some of the reasons I'd love to keep it. It's like a small Gran-Tourer! Just a shame I don't have much opportunity to take it out on road trips.

Car now sold for exactly what I wanted... It's all about having the right buyer and this Couple were the right buyer for the car, I'm sure they will love and look after it as good as I have and I expect they will be along within a matter of days to join up to the forum :)

Congrats fella. I just wish there had been a motor like yours when I had been looking.

Not sure if we will hear from you again on this forum, but a big personal thanks for all your help and info, it's been appreciated.
