Edit: Now Sold

The time has come when we have to say goodbye to this fantastic car, which has been a pleasure to own and drive since we bought it 34,000 miles and 2.5 years ago.

The car is in great condition, it’s picked up a couple of minor parking dings but nothing major and it’s in great shape for a 4 year old car. I’d consider selling with the original alloys/RFT’s if preferred.

I’ve tried to price based on similar cars available on pistonheads/autotrader but I’d welcome any positive thoughts and suggestions.

Here’s the spec…

It's a toss up between 5 door Golf GTI, 1 Series or what I really want, which is a Scirocco, impracticalities of only being 3 door and expecting a baby aside.

Nothing to add other than to say to prospective buyers that Montego Blue is such a beautiful colour :sweetheart:

Thanks 2low! They're standard I think with the black inserts. The colour in my sig isn't accurate as it's an effect from retrocamera for Android!

the insides look darker as oppose to normal z4 headlights in you sale ad pics, not your sig pic. Looks 10x better than this for example; http://www.automotex.co.uk/car-1034LJ50609

Good luck with the sale, but if I were you I would get that dent and wheel repaired prior to sale, give buyers less reason to knock you down.

If you decide on returning your car to standard, I'd be interested in your steering wheel/headlights/exhaust trim
Could swap with the standard parts on my car.
Good luck with the sale

Headlights are already standard fit

Thanks for advice guys, might consider getting the small issues sorted but would like to see how things go for now.
Now on Pistonheads:

Well after a somewhat strange week of trying to find a new car and sell the Z4, it is with some sadness but the Z has gone to its new owner now in Wales.
I was fortunate to be able to arrange a direct swap for a lovely blue mk5 Golf GTi the same age/mileage with the all important back seats through Pistonheads only a couple of days after posting it for sale. Hopefully the new owner will make it to here and I'm sure you'd recognise the car by the wheels. Thanks for the positive comments above.

Hello all,

Proud new Z owner here!! :)

It was a weird week but glad with the outcome - the GTI going to a good home!Glad you're happy with her mate shes a brilliant car. Really good experience with the swap you get a 4 seat pocket rocket and I get some weekend roof down fun!

I wish I had test driven the Z before i had the Boxter a couple of years ago!! All of the fun without the reliability worries.

Enjoying the Z and currently sourcing a space saver (115/90R16 from an E46 will this fit??) if this fails Mr Gringo has kindly agreed to sell me his set of 16" alloys. Need to acquire a Jack and wheel brace (£95 from BMW for the whole kit or individually on flea bay).

El Gringo good luck with the new addition (Baby not car!) - a pleasure doing business with you.

JP

UPDATE

The space saver fitted perfectly, all for £40 :)

Hi Jon, Glad you got the space saver sorted what a bargain
Things going well with the Golf so far, had a go in "Manual" this morning after our conversation yesterday, plenty to get used to but everything seems good so far. Gonna get it checked over this week as discussed and will ask about cambelt etc too.
Looking at the pics in the first half of this thread I'm chuffed we got to own such a beautiful car, and glad it's gone to a good home.
Suggest you get over to the newbies forum where I'm sure you'll be made welcome. As mentioned I have a jack (just not sure of max load as it came from a MINI mobility kit together with the compressor I left you) so I can find out how much it would cost to send it your way if you like.

Hope you and your wife are happy with the swap, thanks for your best wishes on the family front.

Enjoy the Z! :driving:
