Softtop flashing red light

Hi All,

When I press the open button the button goes red, windows lower and the top winds back and locks away fine. The light goes out and stays out. When I drive away though, usually as I change into second the light starts flashing red. It can only be stopped by stopping and either pressing the open button till it goes out or by closing the roof back up.

Any ideas why this is happening? It is odd because it is going up and down just fine.

Just been out for a run in the sunshine and no flashing light with the top down.is it just being a bit daft or is it because I've had the top down in the evening where it is probably slightly damp?
 
Are you defiantly holding the button down until it is properly locked. After it goes down the motor will continue to run for a few seconds. You need to keep it pressed down until it stops.

You may be doing this but probably first port of call as I know I did this when I first got my zed.
 
I was holding it down till the light went out. I will hod it down a few seconds longer. It is more likely me than anything else!
 
Happens yto me on the odd occassion...i put it down to not pressing it properly/long enough,or being a bit damp?
Hasnt done it for weeks on mine,and i just put it back up and down again,then its fine. may well be human error(as in button-pressing)??
It doesnt stop me enjoying driving it though :D :driving:
