Softtop butchered

Hi all I'm a newbie, I just bought a Z4 with few issues, it has a tear on soft-top and previous owner had glued on a big patch which was terrible looking, so looking for info on how to repair cheaply for the moment as iv few other BMW projects. Can I stitch it and if so where could I find correct colour, any ideas how to remove glue, could I put maybe a BMW fabric badge or something like it to hide area, any ideas appreciated thank you in advance

Thats a nasty repair, I would use a couple of BME roundels as a quick fix but that roof will need to be replaced

Best option is to replace the softtop.
