Soft top?

Hi all,

One thing that is really annoying me is the dandelion seeds all over my soft top.... I've given it a good wash using a reasonably soft brush, followed by a good rinse - That improved the overall appearance, but the dandelion seeds remained :thumbsdown:

The only method I've found so far is to physically pick each one off between my finger nails which takes about 30-40 seconds to do each one, so it's going to take forever!

Has anyone discovered an easier way to get rid of these damned things? I can't be the only one to experience this surely?

When I clean my soft top I start with a stiff brush and then vacuum cleaner the dust/c**P away before washing the car.

Use a brush with nylon bristles - if I remember I'll dig it out the boot and post a photo later on.
 
Try wrapping parcel tape around your hand and dabbing all over - I use that method to pick all the tiny bits off before cleaning and treating:

The label on it says 'dish brush' but it does look like half a bog brush - works like a charm though :thumbsup:
 
Lint roller every time. Cheap as chips and tear a sheet off each time.
Pack of 4 at Costco for £5 last time I purchased
I’d never use stiff brushes as they can pile the fabric

You must have a far better class of dirt than me! The mud and s**t from our roads is like glue and doesn't wash out of the area below the rear screen easier to deal with it as dust - but I wouldn't use any brush material other than plastic. I don't like pressure washing cars - seen too much damage to the clear coat and transfers in the past. I shudder every time I see one of those road side car wash places.
