Soft close lid - center console

Hello all,

Anyone else had an issue with their centre console cubby not opening and closing smoothly?

The lid flicks open quite suddenly on mine, propping up the ashtray and sending whatever is in there onto the passenger/footwell.

I presume there's a coil spring or something missing? Has anyone got any pictures of what the mechanism should look like?

Theres a little gear to slow down the lid opening sequence that is spring loaded. The gear is not a serviceable item as I discovered so you'll need a new/used unit of you can't live with it (like myself :headbang
