Sod Depreciation !

Paid £9k for my 2003 3.0i last July and a few quid since to bring it up to my ( near perfect ) standard including a personal plate. Only covered some 500 miles so mileage still only 29500 - according to the pricing websites it's now worth around £5800 tops - do I really care ? Nooooooo ! When I get it out the garage and have a quick blast its all worth it and as long as I keep it I've lost nothing so sod it !!

attached a few photos just to bore you all - make no apologies for the lack of a stubby or the turbines but I like originality ( thats just me - no disrespect at all to all you modders out there )

If it makes you feel better I'm in the market for a Zed currently and there's definitely nothing about at that kind of money! ...and if there was, I'd be expecting quite a few things wrong with it! :lol:
 
Looks nice, no apologies needed for turbines IMO they are the best wheel for pre-facelift cars , whips and original lights/bumpers are also good in my book (well I would say that wouldn't I) :thumbsup:
 
Looks good fella. And as you say, f**k depreciation, take it for a blast and love it. That's priceless.
 
Will second what doogle83 has said, have been looking for a Z for a couple of weeks, and £5800 for a 3.0i with 29500miles on the clock, naaa!
Last one i looked at before i found what i was looking for was an O4, 2.5 with 3300miles, had a dent on the door, 3 or 4 small deep scratches and curbed front wheels and they wanted 8500k for it.
Dont know where they get these prices from.
 
I totaly agree, who cares what some website/trader recons your car is worth!

The Z4 is an amazing car, a true every day bit of fun. It disolves those crap days at the office.

I bought mine reasonably cheap, and I don`t worry about few quid falling off it, as it`s more fun than any car iv`e owned in the past.

Ps, don`t forget you are valuing the car in the winter, drop-tops worst season. Come spring and your car will be worth alot more!

I love the turbines and I hav'nt changed to a stubby aerial either. My z4 is here to stay so I try not to worry about depreciation, but trust me your z4 is worth more than £5800 any day of the week even in the middle of winter.
 
£5800? You couldn't get a crock for that, let alone a well loved zed.

Don't worry bout it. Just enjoy driving :)
