So where is the infamous DSP audio amp?

On the options list, unchecked
Seriously speaking, that empty space in the bottom of your pic is where the the amp for hifi (10 speaker w/o dsp) and top hifi (10 speaker with dsp and carver subs) configurations sits. Without an amp you’ll have the basic six speaker setup.

Thank you all. Not trying to contradict what anyone has - just want to confirm what I have so I can try to fix the thing:

- The "computer" displays the DSP functions.
- I count on the driver's side only, five areas that at least appear to have speakers
- The OEM brochure (I know, not end all, be all reference) shows the si models as having the 10 speaker system.

Yup that's the 10 speaker set up.
Not sure about the amp, unless it has been replaced with aftermarket and located elsewhere?

Surely that's possible but that would be a LOT of work for little ROI. Usually someone going that path would have replaced the OEM speakers. These appear to be original. Also where would one hide an aftermarket installation like that on this car?

Take a look here.

On the coupes, it sits on the rear firewall/bulkhead and accessed from the boot but in the middle not on the left as in the picture above. Hope this helps

If you have 10 speakers and the bass drivers behind the seats are performing as they should (and assuming the head unit hasn’t been replaced with something that’s driving all the speakers), then the amp is probably on the rear firewall as per the coupes. It is possible that this is a peculiarity with American Post-LCI cars, or perhaps you have a converted coupe :?

Yeah my old 2006 that had the 10 speaker dsp didn't have the amp by the battery either.. Never really went looking for it but assumed it was on the firewall also

I didn't have time to completely remove the panel behind the seats but I was able to pull away part of it. Photos are facing left/forward. There's a box with BNC connectors and two coax cables attached but it doesn't look like any photos of the DSP amp that I've seen. Maybe an antenna connection?

You are poking around in the left hand side of the boot, right?
Amp is further over to the right. For orientation, the black brackets in your photos are on the far left of this picture here, which is a view of the rear bulkhead from the rear (i.e. looking forward).

Found, removed. It's as Zedebee shows in the photo above, though the amp itself appears slightly different. Thanks all.
