you might want to ask the ///M folk on their own section.
I bought my 2.0i sport with ///M badges to find out it had ///M sport seats, steering wheel, suspension and wheels though the 'true' ///M has a large 3.2 engine I believe - I'm sure an owner will clarify.

Depends what your asking,
A. Are you asking diffrence between z4 and z4m?
B. Diffrence in trim level ie se to m sport?
A. Engine 3.2, diff, brakes, suspension etc.
B. Seats body kit wheels steering wheel gear stick little m badges on stuff

I've never understood why people stick M badges on non-M cars. Joe public won't know/care what the M badge represents, and car enthusiasts who do care will be able to spot from a mile off that its just a badge, and will probably laugh at you.
I've got the 3.0i, and for me it was a good compromise between performance and daily drivability in city traffic, fuel consumption and servicing costs.
The 2.0 isn't that much cheaper to run/insure, or more economical, so if I were you I'd go for the 3.0.

The M Sport will have different seats, steering wheel and lower suspension. It might have different wheels also. I don't believe the M sport version has any engine upgrades.
As mentioned the Z4M is a completely different animal and is not just the M sport spec version of the 3.0L and lower Z4 derivatives.

i see, i didnt go for the 3.0 or 2.5 as i am only 23 and it would cost me a bomb in insurance. also i dont use motorways as i live in the middle of nowhere in cornwall!! :lol: paulgs1000 : i love this car it is smooth to drive , really smart interior and it still pulls in 6th gear! the one thing i wish it had was PDC but contacted ocean BMW and they dont fit them aftermarket 
i have all the //m logos on the steering wheel and dotted around everywhere, the speaker system is awesome and shows off full effect with the roof down 
its great down here in cornwall as mine is the only one ive seen 
overall i am soooo happy with this car well worth the 300 miles trop to get it !! this forum is great too , there is always someone willing to help
