Hi all, after reading a few posts with the new e89 'teething problems' i thought back to my most reliable car to date -it was a Hyundai accent  -in the 4 years i owned it all i did apart from servicing was put 4 budget tyres on it,(because i had a puncture and it was just as cheap to buy new budget than to repair)and a length of brake pipe that cost me £40 fitted.Sailed through all mot's aswell.Just seems a shame that a cheap car like that show some of the 'big gun' car brand up.I know there is good and bad in all makes but this was just my experience,so my question to you is what has been yours?-thanks.

Well having owned a Fiat for 9 Years prior to the Z Iwould trend to say the Z4MR, as nothing at all has gone wrong thus far. However I have also owned 3 Nissans and it's true, they just work. Also recall the Mk1 Primera was fantastic to drive. :driving:

BMW E46 330 m- sport so far , but Zed is catching up fast another 6 months trouble free and a new winner

Range Rover Sport....although my E89 has been great too, apart from the shite 296 wheels

Our Mini Clubman I reckon , 33000 miles not any trouble at all

I tell you the worse as a bonus its a tie between a Renault Laguna 1.9dci just dreadful and an Mitsh Evo 8 fq330 ££££

A Peogot 306 Dturbo. Bought it at 5 years old with 60k on the clock, I had it 6 years and put another 60k on it and I only ever replaced things like tyres, brakes and exhaust.

BMW X5. Purchased new. Ran it for 10 years and 100,000 miles. Never missed a beat. One minor warranty recall and new rear suspension bushes at 90,000.

Aside that not a penny outside of servicing (and customising tweaks I chose to do)

99 MR2 had it up until 66000 miles and was confident enough to sell it to a relative.Admittedly it was a son in law but nevertheless !!! Why do Toyota make such ugly cars now ? :headbang:

BMW 525i and S type Jaguar 2.7 twin turbo diesel tie for me, both were equally reliable had no trouble whatsoever with either of them

BMW X5, spent £1500 in 6.5 years on ALL services and two years of extended warranties.

Audi A3, 3 years 75,000 miles didn't miss a beat and then an Audi A4 cab, 2 years 53,000 miles, set of front tyres that was it

Not had a problem with any of my cars (even an Alfa 147 GTA proved reliable :-o ) , except a MG Metro - blown engine, rusted floorpan etc etc. PITA car, but fantsatic fun to drive on a set of mini alloys! :D
