So what does anyone think to the Tesla Model 3?

Well after the months (or was it years) of hype Tesla have official unveiled the model 3...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-35940302

Well released some details but 0-60 in under 6 seconds for the base model sounds bloody good and 215 mile range is more than enough to live with as a DD especially given how many supercharging stations there will be by the time its released....

Not to mention I really like the design

Think I want one but sketchy info on UK pricing has (so not knowing if I can realistically afford) stopped me reserving it so wondering has anyone on here reserved one yet....

Looks good from what I can see, if the numbers add up when it's released I can see this being my next daily, replacing an ageing Volvo.

That is highly impressive and at that price in US will sell well.
Suspect that UK price would be around £35k, which would need a lot of consideration.
The shots of the assembly plant and new battery manufacturing unit equally impressive.
Yet to see a Tesla in the flesh.

We are going to get one if they are released when they say they will be.
My mate has a model s and its amazing in every way!

Think it looks great, I'm a huge fan of Elon Musk and his imagination, would I rather have that than a 330d, most definitely, however I'm waiting for their new roadster due in 2019

Dad has a model S, and if you're not interested in engine noise/engines, then arguably its faster than its competitors, has long enough range (will beat an M5 in both range and 0-60 terms..) and is far more practical. With seats down, wide opening boot, storage holes under the floor where tyres/exhausts arent, and a front boot due to the lack of an engine... its a huge car in terms of carrying capability.

The only thing stopping me getting one is the lack of home-charging due to living in a London terraced house. If i had a driveway, it'd be my second/DD car.

I'm trying to talk Mrs T into having one as her next company car.

Loads of charging points round here and a supercharger 20 mins away...

I reserved one online on launch day but don't expect to see UK cars delivered until 2020 given the number of reservations in the US which will be given priority over the rest of the world.

Time to enjoy ICE motoring for a while longer!
