Hello!

About Me:

Name: Olly
Location: Bolton, Uk
Job: ICT Technical

About my Cars:
Current: 2006 Z4MC, Interlagos Blue
Previous Car: 2003 3ltr E46 Clubsport
Before that: 1998 Clio Diesel, 2007 120 (E81), 1997 1.6ltr E36, and wait for it... FIRST CAR - 1999 1.3 FORD KA

Brief Intro:

I Recently became the owner of a 2006 Z4MC so figured I should probably join a relevant forum. I have already used this forum to find the odd bit of information - mainly been researching the gear shifts from 1st-2nd, clutch delay valve, ermmm I think I even found some info on how to remove the number plate lights! Views on the car so far are positive, its a lot more, erm, aggressive than my E46 and a little weird getting used to having a massive front end, not being able to see anything on the front nearside (even makes me drive slightly more towards the middle of the road as a result), oh and not having a back end to swing around corners as i'm almost sat on the rear wheels.

I dont have any nice pics of the car yet but to avoid any humiliation from "useless without pics" posts... I have attached a few ive taken on my blower.

So once again - Hello! Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum, Olly! Nice choice of car there, sure you're enjoying it :D

Tapatalking...

As I've already said hello & welcome and you have posted pictures, what else is there to say

Hey Twisty, was that an AUC or private sale? There was an Interlagos up for £14k at BMW auc which was a forum car, slightly highish miles & flimper spec but a lovely car all the same...

Welcome to the forum, it would appear you have the best Z (an MC!) in the most popular colour...

Approved used from Williams of Liverpool. It's just shy of the 28k mark and has the navigation. I need to put an aux or iPod input in, as its the 2006 so didn't come as standard, and that will bring it up to date. I'm still weighing up whether to spend 20quid on an aux or go whole hog and spent 150-80 on the intravee or similar. Any opinions?

Welcome Olly

Being sat on the back wheels is the best place to be - there's nothing like planting the loud pedal and feeling the back end squat as the nose pops up

Welcome Olly, and can I say great choice of model and colour. What interior, black or champagne?
You get used to the dimensions quite quickly and the engine will have you grinning forever.

Have fun!

i got my car from bmw bolton
Would have been more convenient for me if this was in Bolton, but I got luck finding a good example as close as Liverpool anyway, could have been worse.

Welcome  How do you find the comparison from the clubsport ?
The Clubsport was my dream car when I was younger, had the edge over a standard 330... And I loved it for the 4 years I had it but at 84k and the stigma attached with higher mileage cars and the effect it has on their value, despite there usually being nothing wrong with them, I decided to cash in while I could still claw back some capital to help finance a newer one. I would have loved an M3 (E46) but apart from the engine and a few subtle body differences it was practically the same car so i went for a slightly bigger, less practical, change. As soon as i test drove it my mind was made up, its a beast. I like that you actually have to drive it rather than just auto pilot. The mrs has a family car so all is still well. I'll probably keep it a couple of years then get something with more seats. If only it was legal to put your child in the boot.

Thanks! Interior is black with the black carbon fibre look fabric trim.
