Drove up to Lochgoilhead from Essex, stopping in Glasgow for a night (missus' parents live there). On the way up, I met lukemace to exchange some goods. Lovely chap! 500 miles in total, but so worth it.

It's such a beautiful and peaceful place and the roads are amazing. I drove on the 'rest and be thankful' on the way up to the loch and we stayed at a caravan owned by the in-laws.

In total, we done 1070 miles and 2 and a half tanks of fuel.

Here's some pics of our trip:

All in, a great trip away and look forward to going back.

Brilliant pics mate! Car looks GREAT! how long did it take on the way back down? Did you get as much traffic as in the way there!?

Ben,
This is an area i would love to visit. I think the red softtop goes very well with the colour of the car which looks to be "silver Grey or Gunmetal'?" looks like a really worthwhile trip. :driving:

Cheers mate. Took 7 and a half hours on way back, including stopping for food and some fuel which was handy. No traffic at all! couldn't believe I got stuck on the way up for 2 hours! Was going mad

God's country

Looks like a great trip - every time I get home from there I want to go straight back again :D

fantastic pics the car looks great the wheels and the hood .makes it stand out in the cloud  so lucky to be able to do that journey I have got to do it one of the years  :driving:

Looks like a good time had and lots of fun with the top down!! Went Lock Goilhead years ago was really nice up around there and some good hiking. Also liking the rims sir I saved a picture of your car during my search for mine as a 'must have rim style' (although think thats changed now).

I stay on the A82 on the road to loch Lomond and grew up there swimming in it as a wean(child). I probably don't realise how lucky I am at times as im 15 mins from Glasgow and 10 mins from Balloch (mouth of loch lomond)
Here's an old shot of our Z on the banks with Ben Lomond behind.

Very very lucky boy growing up here and sometimes don't appreciate how good it is

You're very lucky, shambolic! Although i've been up there at winter and woupd not wish it upon anyone  much rather mild Essex with regards to the weather.

Saw signs for ben lomond and we were going to go there as it's my namesake, but didn't have time :( it was all rather overwhelming for me. I love going up there as it's so tranquil compared to where I live.

Probably migrate up there one day. The missus moved down here to be with me so it's only right to repay the favour! I'm also quite well knowledgeable on the 'lingo' as i've been with her 10 years now. Some of the stuff is rather funny though

Thanks for sharing ben g. Great photo's . We visit Loch Lomond every year with our boat (Inverbeg). Only minutes from Glasgow but so tranquil.
Great Wake boarding.
Never taken the Z up that way...............yet
