So I have decided that I would very much like an aux cable in my Zed.

She's a 07 3.0si roadster but fractionally early to have one factory fitted.

I have watched a YouTube video on how to DIY but I'm not too confident and don't want to mess it up. Is there anywhere I can take it that will know how to do this for a fee?

I'm in Bournemouth so a very long way from Preston - thanks though.

Is it really that easy? Popping the grills out seems like a delicate process (at least for someone as useless at DIY as me, and then how fiddily is it to thread the cable through?

you can get some trim removal tools on ebay if your really worried, the two metal tabs at the top of the vents are quite delicate , then once that is out then its plain sailing, 2 phillips screws & a cable to unplug.

07 3.0si - I'm surprised it hasn't got one? It's hidden under the dash in case you haven't looked there lol.
Mine is an 08 and has one but I thought all face lift 3.0si's had them?

Depends when it was made, not registered.

I'm pretty sure I checked my build date and it was just before the date that these were included.

It seems that some HUs don't even accept them so perhaps I'll just have to make do with burning a new CD every month :-(
