so go on..

I never buy new, so it's a moot point for me.

When it's down to 50% of that (so a year or two) then I might consider one - but I'd probably pick an M2 Comp or M4 over the Z4.

45k - would you buy the zed ? or something else..
thoughts ?
Oh that ones dead simple for an Aston fan. DB9, plenty of decent ones at around That money. 8) :driving:

Far too many options at that price point, in no particular order...

R8
V8 Vantage
99.2 C4S
F Type R
i8
C63S
981 Cayman / Boxster S in mega spec
Evora
Maserati GranTurismo
M4 Comp

Etc etc

My dealer had an approved used i8 parked outside for £1,000 less than list price of the Z4 M40i when i went for a test drive last weekend. I know where my money would go.

When you consider the depreciation is equal to the monthly payments it makes no sense to me.

Do the figures you'll soon find out if you think its worth it. Its all personal preference, cars arent investments but the Z4 really does poorly on the residual scale. Depends if you want or can afford to loose 20k in the time you have it. If you can then maybe you should invest the money, PCP it and hopefully your investment will pay for the car instead... 20k isnt a great deal of money but I would rather have it than loose it.

For example buying a 981 boxster or cayman the likelyhood is you will loose very little if the 718 is anything to go by it may even appreciate. In all honesty they are more special cars for that sort of money.

You could have 2 Z4M coupes

If I had to have new at that price I wouldn't be able to resist a V8 Mustang!

For me it is a truly ugly car - just about anything else would come first.

As with many others, it is a moot point with me too as I could not think of a situation where I would buy a new car. If I did, those listed in here by others would be on my list and I would add a Skyline GTR to it as well.

I intentionally left it open to conjecture and didn't insist on a new car choice - the question was.. What would you buy with 45k, new or old..
