Snap in adapter

IIRC the snap in was significantly wider than the original eject box( before I had mine changed)
The difference is down to slim normal phones v the considerably wider smart phones ,iPhone in particular
have you access both to offer up and see if a Dremel will help
if not try iPhone against the eject box to see extent of problem

Yes it can be made to fit by modifying the eject box, might be up for grabs, I would need to swap with your eject box (the bottom bit) though,...IF it is removable.....
