Smokey engine after a clean

So I seem to have developed a smoke problem but only after I clean the car, and it goes after long journeys. I thought it might just be pooled water and steam but its definitely a white smoke. It's a 3 litre si 56 plate. Does anyone else get this? Shed any light so I can go to the garage armed, any help appreciated!

Don't clean the car? (:

In all seriousness, it's not something I've seen or looked out for. I'll keep an eye when I'm cleaning the car over the weekend. Doesn't strike me something as terrifying to worry about mind.

1. Where is the smoke coming from?

2. How intrusive is your cleaning procedure? Does the bonnet get opened? Is the pressure washer used? Does it get sprayed up the exhaust?

3. How long does it take for the smoke to stop?

4. Does the smoke have a smell?

5. Does it smoke if you leave it for a day or two after cleaning before you drive the car?

i think thr question has got to be... what are you cleaning ? nothinig on the bodywork would do that so its under the bonnet stuff im guessing
