SMG guys, what gear do you leave it in when parked

Normally leave it in drive, but have to move it into neutral to start. Not had any problems.

I believe you are supposed to leave it in first so it doesn't roll away but beware I'm having problems with mine so I always leave it in neutral even though it beeps at me when I get out of the car. If you leave it in first and it won't shift then it won't start and you can't move it easily either. Embarrassing when it decides to fail on you outside the neighbours' driveway. Don't ask me how I know this!

i have been leaving it neutral . today the engine wouldnt start, after a few attempts taking the key out , back again, turning position 1 all systems go again.....perhaps leaving it in gear and then to neutral to start might make it happier.

i havent had that problem , touch wood, the beep is annoying in neutral, almost as if its warning you not to leave it there.

You can't win either way, you either leave it in neutral and get the annoying bleeps, or leave in 1st/drive and then it won't let you start until you move the lever. Depends which is the least annoying for you. I often leave mine in neutral in the garage, so I can push it out to wash it without starting it cold (then push it back in again until it needs another wash  )

just had a quick look and following codes might turn off beeping

AKUSTIK_WARNUNG_T1 (acoustic warning)
AKUSTIK_WARNUNG_T2 (acoustic warning)
AKUSTIK_WARNUNG_T3 (acoustic warning)
