Smashed Plastic Bits

Appreciate that modern cars all have front ends that are designed to break easily in case of hitting a pedestrian but as a man more use to dealing with Classic Volvos it's astonishing how brittle these cars are. The 'system' for holding the lower grille in place is an engineering joke...I'd honestly rather use lego.

Need to replace a few bits under the nose and both bumper brackets which have been broken historically. Guessing it's either eBay or Realoem to get part numbers and order from BMW Main Dealer for no doubt absurd £££.

Not worth replacing those triangular shaped parts. They break so easily and are an absolute fortune from BMW. you could plastic weld them, or use some cable ties to bodge the split together.

I used to fix all kinds of stuff that was out of sight using 'speed tape'.
Basically stick-backed aluminium sheet. Brilliant stuff, and will make a slightly flexible join that is less likely to break again.

New Bumper Brackets ordered from BMW. £32 a side. Going to fabricate fixes for the rest as that Triangular L Bracket piece is £135! Even the parts guy choked.

Hopefully if you noticed the damage before buying you managed to negotiate a better price to compensate for the cost :?
