Smart top roof module group buy? Price update on page 2

I wouldn't be without my Smarttop module. Its how the car should have come from the factory!
I got the dealer to refit mine when I bought the new car last September - He wasn't happy but I told him "No Fit = No Deal"

You can indeed! Just hold down open or close. I think I'm right in saying that anyone can open the roof from the fob but for closing from the fob you need comfort access? Not 100% sure though. Someone will clarify! I have comfort access and I can raise and lower the roof from my fob.

The smart module will give me one-touch and allow me to raise and lower whilst the vehicle is moving though, which is really like. That said, I found some settings in Carly last night for allowing roof movement at speed, but I haven't tried coding it yet to see if it works.

Awesome! Thanks Pastry!

Doesn't seem worth getting the module just for the one touch then!?!

I was told that the software was so locked down that it was impssible to get into it to allow access to the lines of code to allow fob closure. The service manager was a decent fella and had his best man on the case. He tried as I needed the facility because of my dodgy mobility/leg. It wasn't just a fashion thing and he did try.

Non closure from the fob was I'm told , due to some sprog in the USA getting his fingers trapped in a closing roof and the ensuing litigation.

Before the security software patch was applied on the Dec 2010 E89 that I had, I was able to lower the roof on the fob and raise/close using the key in the door. The key in the door was disabled after the patch was applied.
