If you are interested in this please post below. I intend to buy one, so if I can negotiate a discount for a group purchase, it would be worth giving it a go.

I have put my name down. Price is £255.00 delivered UK. If you call on 0208 9000 900 and speak to Akash or Raj and quote ref Z4AK1 they will put you down for 1 at the above price. Once 5 people have registered they will call us all back to take payment details and ship.

For shipping abroad please email them with an address and they will provide a quote.
 
Yes I'm interested, dependent on the final price of course... UK suppliers can get them for £280 delivered, and its about the same if you import it after the customs guys have had their way. We should try both the UK suppliers as well as mods4cars for quotes.
 
I'd be wary of messing around with the wiring to be honest especially on a new motor, it says in the handbook anyways the top can be opened and closed at upto 25mph, I'm guessing though not as a one touch operation.

If your car was built after wk10 then I think you get the opening whilst moving, so the benefits are less for you. The temptation for me is the opening/closing whilst moving (my car doesn't have that), the added convenience of being able to also close the roof with the key fob, and the auto fold of door mirrors on lock/unlock.

I'd only use the open/close whilst moving if caught at lights etc, as I think in wk10 onwards they also upgraded the motors, so my roof motors aren't really designed for it, but the convenience features are quite tempting.

It looks like a plug and play install, so no cutting of wires etc, and removable without trace, but I'm just nervous of doing it to my new car.

When was yours built Kevin?, Mine was built on 19th March, I've only just found out today that the roof can be lowered etc on the move but only from the handbook, only just got around to reading it :oops: so asume it has this feature. Will have to give it a try if it ever stops raining :cry:

I can understand your nervousness with a new car :o my only concern with opening and closing the roof whilst on the move is making sure you do it on the flat :D

Yeah......when I asked they said it could be done...then on collection of car they said it couldn't be done! Reckon if I offered to pay they'd find a way!
 
Been on to PPCGB. Best price offered in £255 inc vat and UK shipping based on min 5 orders. They don't seem able/willing to go below this. For shipping to Aus the chap I spoke to called Akash said to email for a quote with address. He also said they currently have 3 in stock and it would take a week for more to come in.
 
TBH I think I would be happy with that. I may give them a call and try and hit the magic £250. I'm sure 10% should be possible. Although to be fair I do think these used to cost upwards of £300 and PPCGB already list it as 10% off.
