3.0Si.

There is a slight rattle, audible inside the cabin, sounds like its coming from the clutch area.

Car running, in neutral, clutch up.

Stops completly if you dip the clutch.

Can't hear it when driving in gear.

Not particularly loud and tinny. Sounds bit like shaking a rattle can when its full.

Anything obvious I can check or is this the clutch or release bearing on the way out?

Most likely the DMF rattling, they all do in the 3.0si. Especially noticeable when you turn the car off with the clutch depressed and it makes the rattle of death.

Not worth worrying about; some have changed their entire DMF/clutch assembly only for this noise to develop again shortly after.

Yep, they all do it. You just get used to dipping the clutch when switching off to avoid the embarrassing noise. Doesn't ever seem to get worse, just added character :P

Yup the ///M does it too.

Thanks chaps! I haven't driven her much as over the last few months, so maybe it just sounded louder today when I got in to blow the spiders out...

Still got the pesky ABS pump to sort out though... :x
